Failed to Execute Host Integrity check after installing July 2024 Microsoft Updates

Issue/Introduction

Endpoint Protection or Endpoint Security agents report a warning that your computer failed its security compliance check.  In the agent Security log, the following message is present

Fail to execute Host Integrity Check.

Error Type: 0x00100001, Error Code: 0x000000

Because Host Integrity checks are failing, agents may be quarantined and lose network connectivity to certain resources based on the Quarantine Firewall policy configuration.

Resolution

The issue is fixed in the Definitions SEF 1.10/1.11/1.12
EAS release starting on 8/27/24

100% released by - 9/17/24

Possible Workaround

• Rollback Microsoft July 2024 Update(s) that caused the issue.
• Disable Host Integrity checking temporarily until a solution is found.
