Issue/Introduction

This article provides information on how to perform a successful inventory sync and avoid the error

Error Code: LCMCOMMON80063

Invalid root credentials. Provide right credentials and retry

SSH authorization failed with the provided root password for xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx. Make sure the root account and root password aren't expired. Verify the credentials for rootPassword and retry.

 

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.x

VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager

Cause

Aria Operations node FQDN information in Aria Lifecycle Manager will be different from the actual FQDN or the root password is expired.

Resolution

• Ensure that Aria Lifecycle Manager can establish an SSH connection to the affected Aria Operations node using the root account password.
• Trigger inventory sync, if the task fails, hit the retry button and input the correct FQDN.
• Once the correct hostname is entered the inventory sync should complete successfully.
