sudo silent Spectrum install failing unable to contact SRAdmin

Issue/Introduction

We set up the environment to run a sudo silent install on the local machine according to the instructions located in the "Grant Limited Root Permissions (Linux)" section of the documentation.

However, when we run the test, we receive an error stating it is unable to contact SRAdmin.

Cause

A review of the configuration for sudo did not show any errors and SRAdmin was running without issue.

Resolution

We were unable to determine the root cause as to why the test was unable to contact the SRAdmin.

However, we were able to run the install as the sudo user using the distinst method as discussed in the "How to install Spectrum on Linux with no root password or sudo" knowledge document.
