Issue/Introduction

While trying to acquire or managing Oracle Application endpoint an error message is displayed

"The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application"

Environment

Identity Manager 14.x

Cause

The Oracle Application must be configured with ODBC 32 bits as described in the documentation about the 32-bit version of the Oracle Client package.

Resolution

• From Remote Connector Server where you have JCS installed, open the "ODBC Data Source Administrator (32-bit)"
• Select the System DSN tab
• Check the Name column if there is only one DSN name with Platform 32 bit, the same DSN name set in the Oracle Application endpoint.
• If there are two names one with platform 32 bit and another with 64 bit, remove the 64 bit
• Re-run a new test from Provisioning Manager or Identity Manager
