Blank Timesheets in MUX or System Error in Classic UX

Issue/Introduction

Timesheets in the Modern UX appear blank (no content even after adding tasks); and in Classic UX, opening a Timesheet throws a System Error.

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: com.niku.union.persistence.PersistenceException:

SQL error code: 936

Error message: ORA-00936: missing expression

Environment

Clarity 16.4.1

Cause

Timesheet Options: Required Description column can be removed from layout

Resolution

Restore the Timesheet view to defaults and ensure that the Description column is shown:

1. Open the Configure Timesheet page with the affected user by using the following URL: <hostname>/niku/nu#action:timeadmin.configureTimesheet
2. From the Default Content section : Move the Description to the selected columns section
3. Click on "Apply"
4. Check the Default content and layout section
   • • The "Description" column gets added to "Selected Columns" section and required options indicator appears back in timesheet configuration options.
