Issue/Introduction

  • In the "Consolidated Capacity" UI, changing threshold value does not take effect.
  • It occurs with categories that exist in common to both policy objects and manager objects, such as "System wide Total Gateway Firewall Rules".

  • It does not occur with categories that belong to either object, such as "Groups".
  • The version is NSX 4.1.2.x

Environment

This issue occurs in NSX 4.1.2. It does not occur in NSX 4.1.1 or earlier.

Cause

This issue occurs due to a problem in handling categories that belong to both policy and manager objects.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in NSX 4.2.

A temporary workaround is to change these threshold value by both policy and manager API.

PUT /api/v1/capacity/threshold
PUT /policy/api/v1/infra/capacity/threshold

Please refer to the NSX API Guide for using the API.
