I have been tasked with generating SCRT reports from the Broadcom products used by two major data centers that have been assigned the same site id. These data centers form a group handled by my center. They consist of a number of combined LPARS and the SMF records are sent to a central repository which does not run any Broadcom products. .
I would like to generate the SCRT reports from the central repository. Does Broadcom allow this even though there are no Broadcom products used on this system?
In addition, my management is concerned that there will be a licensing issue. I have assured them that SCRT software is IBM licensed software and therefore no Broadcom licensing fees will be due.
Again, the two concerns are:
Will there be any problem running the SCRT reports on this Independent repository system?
Will there be any fees in order to run the reports here?
Please confirm or clarify

The SMF data from multiple datacenters has been combined into a central repository that does not run any Broadcom products. They want to create the SCRT reports from the central repository. Is this possible and are there any Broadcom licensing issues which may be of a concern?
There is no issue with "permissions" and the licensing is immaterial. An SCRT report can be generated from anywhere as long as the necessary information is available.
The necessary information to execute the reports includes the SMF data from the LPARS in question, the JCL(this is optional if you run the SCRT on Linux or Windows), and the the Broadcom Product Catalog XML file.
SCRT reports can be run from anywhere as long as the SMF data and the XML file are both available.
