Issue/Introduction

  • Unable to upgrade or deploy vCloud 10.6 Appliance 
  • Upgrade from version 10.5.1.1 when running the command "vamicli update --install latest" , it will get stuck without completing
  • The firstboot.log reports warning.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.1.1

Cause

This issue can occur if Cloud Director is in a private network and no internet access available. This causes several rpms not been installed correctly

 

Resolution

This is a known issue which Broadcom is aware of and will be fixed in a future release of VMware Cloud Director.
