RSP fails with 'Connection to X.X.X.X failed or login refused'

Issue/Introduction

Remote systems monitored by RSP generate the following alarm:

Connection to X.X.X.X failed or login refused

rsp.log captures errors below

rsp: Connection failed for host X.X.X.X: No route to host

rsp: Connection failed for X.X.X.X.. kex error : no match for method server host key algo: server [ssh-rsa,ssh-dss], client [ssh-ed25519,ecdsa-sha2-nistp521,ecdsa-sha2-nistp384,ecdsa-sha2-nistp256,[email protected],[email protected],rsa-sha2-512,rsa-sha2-256]

Resolution

1. Run nslookup against the remote system IP address & FQDN from the server where the rsp probe installed and confirmed the proper FQDN and IP are resolved.

2. If the IP address returned by nslookup does not match with the IP in the RSP profile, update the profile with the correct IP and rediscover the device

3. Run an SSH connection tests against the remote system from the server where the rsp probe installed using the password less key configured in the rsp probe and ensure that connection works.
