Markdown formatting codes visible in Jira after ConnectALL synchronizes from Rally

Issue/Introduction

Markdown codes are occasionally visible in rich text fields (RTF) fields when synchronizing from some sources such as Rally to Jira.

ConnectALL 3.4.0.1

Cause

Resolution

Jira does not support leading or trailing formatted space characters, whereas some systems, like Rally, do support this.

For example, the following screenshot shows text that has a trailing space in Rally:

 

And in Jira it becomes formatted like the following screenshot:

 

One current workaround is to avoid formatting spaces at the beginning and end of lines.

Longer term, this is due to be fixed in a later version of ConnectALL.
