Issue/Introduction

Are the user credentials provided by the user to access Vantage via either the Windows Client or Web (StoragePoint) Client encrypted?

Resolution

The password sent from the Vantage StoragePoint™ Web Client (or Windows Client) to the Vantage Host is always encrypted, regardless of whether SSL security is configured for the product.
