Issue/Introduction

When a configured object (Alerts > Notification > Define Criteria > Object Scope > Criteria = Object) in a notification rule is deleted, an 'Object ID not found' error appears in the rule. If the notification rule is edited, the criteria automatically revert to 'All Objects.'(Alerts >Notification > Notifications-Rule-Name>Edit> Define Criteria > Object Scope > Criteria = All Objects)

Environment

VMware Aria Operations (formerly known as vRealize Operations) 8.16.X

VMware Aria Operations (formerly known as vRealize Operations) 8.17.X

Resolution

This is a known issue with VMware Aria Operations (formerly known as vRealize Operations). There is currently no resolution
Also, its advised not to click the affected notification rule edit button. Because this will be reset the Notification Rule Criteria for all the objects

Note: Notifications still function correctly based on the original filter criteria (Object) as long as the rule is not edited

Workaround:

Recommendation is to create notification rule based on object types instead of specific objects (object) Or recreate the notification rule Criteria for the affected notification rule based on objects
