When building a view containing one or more organization or sub-organization dimensions in the Analyzer to create a rollup saved search for use as a dashboard widget, the view returns dimensions and measures as expected in the Analyzer; however, when the rollup saved search is used as a dashboard widget, it returns no values.
Version : 6.x
Component : Dashboards
One or more organization names displayed by the view contains a comma, which is an invalid character for use in organization names. The presence of the comma causes the widget's scoping query to split the organization name when parsing the results of the MDX query passed to the cube.
ICA's user interface contains controls to prevent the insertion of invalid characters in organization and sub-organization names. The following characters are considered invalid:
,;':/\\*|@?\"+=[]<>"
As of version 6.6 MP2, there are no controls to prevent these characters from being included in organization names that are bulk imported through a data source query job, leading to the condition described in the Introduction section of this article.
To resolve this condition, remove all commas and other invalid characters from organization and sub-organization names. This can be accomplished in the Risk Fabric portal by navigating to Admin > Settings > Organizations and editing the organization name or names in question.
If you need to remove invalid characters from a large number of organizations, contact Broadcom support for assistance.
The ability to import organization names containing invalid characters through a data source query will be removed in a future version of Information Centric Analytics (ICA).
