Question

When running pdm_configure in a CA Service Desk Manager environment, web.cfg and NX.env files are overwritten.  Are there steps to prevent this from happening?

Answer

Any changes you make to web.cfg file located at NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www directory and NX.env file located at NX_ROOT should be copied over to their respective TPL (template) files.

   - Copy changes done in web.cfg to web.cfg.tpl file located at NX_ROOT\bopcfg\www directory

   - Copy changes done in NX.env to NX.env_nt.tpl file located at NX_ROOT\pdmconf directory.

Note that these changes will require a recycle of CA SDM services.
