Issue/Introduction

Instructions Install Tanzu Build Service with kapp controller are out of date and they still reference old VMware registry.

Resolution

Every occurrence of "registry.tanzu.vmware.com", needs to be replaced with tanzu-build.packages.broadcom.com and use the token from green icon in VMware Tanzu Build Service Download page as password in docker login.

 

There is only one version showing the icon at the moment, but you can use that for all your packages.

E.g docker login -u [email protected] -p $MY_BROADCOM_SUPPORT_ACCESS_TOKEN tanzu-build.packages.broadcom.com

registry.tanzu.vmware.com is retained to support existing customer automation, post the migration of Tanzu Network to the Broadcom Support portal. New user sign-up is disabled to this registry, plus this instance will be decommissioned by 29th July 2024.
