Issue/Introduction

When upgrade PAM 4.3 to 4.4, at the step of register Process Automation with EEM, it gives this error

 

installation.log showed

<WARN  2024-07-23 15:17:19,113 SafeContext::warn> authenticateWithCertificate - no iClResult object returned from server during certificate authentication.
<ERROR 2024-07-23 15:17:19,113 SafeContextFactory::error> Failed to authenticate application with eTrust Embedded IAM backend server
com.ca.eiam.SafeException: EE_SPONSORERROR iSponsor Error

Environment

CA Process Automation 4.4

Resolution

Check the system and user env variable EIAMCONFIG and if it is there, unset it.

Then make sure EEM services are running and if not start them.

After that, rerun the PAM 4.4 install script.

If this does not work, please open a support case with Broadcom Support.
