After upgrading to the Deployment Solution 8.7.2 release, the PXE boot server needed to be rebooted a couple times a day for PXE to work again.
Since the upgrade, it seems the PXE Boot keeps stopping ("Symantec Network Boot Service (TFTP)" service) as shown here:
NOTE: This issue could also occur on a GSS 3.3 RU11 or RU12 server but with the 'Altiris PXE MTFTP Server' service instead
Deployment Solution (DS) 8.7.1, 8.7.2
Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) 3.3 RU11, RU12
Known issue. An unexpected stop of the TFTP service was caused by improper handling of certain network errors in the environment.
This issue was fixed in both Deployment Solution 8.7.3 and GSS 3.3.13.
An updated .exe is available depending on the product used as explained below:
For Deployment Solution
Try the updated SbsMtftp.exe attached to this article instead of the original SBSMTFTP.exe:
For Ghost Solution Suite
