After the removal of all associated objects a storage policy will error out when removal is attempted

Issue/Introduction

After the removal of all associated objects a storage policy will error out saying "Delete VM Storage Policy Failed: The resource '00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000' is in use'"

 

1. No VMs are associated to the storage policy
2. No PVCs are associated to the storage policy 
    

 

Environment

VMware vCenter 6.x,7.x,8.x

Cause

There is likely a stale FCD association
