Cannot enable Change Detector and seeing Operating System errors in log.

Issue/Introduction

 Symptoms: 

  After following the documented procedure to deploy Change Detector and restarting the Agent, the index files do not appear under Change Detector agent node.
  Under Agent log with DEBUG mode activated, you can see the following just after Agent starts:

 [VERBOSE] [IntroscopeAgent.Agent] Solaris Amd32 Platform Monitor does not support Linux.  Solaris Amd32 Platform Monitor will not run.
 com.wily.introscope.agent.platform.PlatformLibraryNotSupportedException: Agent_Platform_Monitor_Unsupported_Platform_Message[Solaris Amd32 Platform  Monitor; Linux]

 [VERBOSE] [IntroscopeAgent.Agent] Linux IntelAmd32 Platform Monitor does not support LinuxIntelAmd64.  Linux IntelAmd32 Platform Monitor will not run.
 com.wily.introscope.agent.platform.PlatformLibraryNotSupportedException: Agent_Platform_Monitor_Unsupported_Platform_Message[Linux IntelAmd32 Platform Monitor; LinuxIntelAmd64]

 Environment: 

  Introscope from 9.5x onward until 10.1

 

 Cause:

 

  This issue occurs when Agent cannot locate the below Operating System files that should be under AgentHome/Core/Ext:

libIntroscopeAIXPSeries32Stats.so
libIntroscopeAIXPSeries64Stats.so
libIntroscopeLinuxIntelAmd32Stats.so
libIntroscopeLinuxIntelAmd64Stats.so
libIntroscopeSolarisAmd32Stats.so
libIntroscopeSolarisAmd64Stats.so
libIntroscopeSolarisSparc32Stats.so
libIntroscopeSolarisSparc64Stats.so

 

 Resolution:

 

  Make sure that you have above files under AgentHome/Core/EXT, if they do not exist, then try:

    1-Download the Agent files matching with your release and type of Agent. You can use our AgentFiles as option, see below:

    2-Extract all content to a temp folder.
    3-Go to temp/Core/ext and extract the above Operating System files.
    4-Copy these files to your current AgentHome/Core/ext.
    5-Restart the Agent.

 Additional Information:

 APM documentation states that Platform Monitor is not supported under Virtual Machines:
