Cause

^{In the /var/run/vmkernel.log and /var/run/vobd.log logs, you will notice the following entries:}

^{YYYY-MM-DD qlnativefc: vmhbax(xx:0.0): qlnativefcStatusEntry:xxx:(x:x) Port down status: port-state=0x3 indicates port is down.
YYYY-MM-DD: [scsiCorrelator] [esx.problem.storage.redundancy.degraded] Path redundancy to storage device naa.xxxxxxxxx degraded. Path vmhbaX:CX:TX:LX is down. Affected datastores: "XXXXXX".

Resolution

• ^{Please engage the hardware vendor to investigate potential issues with vmhba.}

  The switch statistics between the ESXi HBA and storage for any packet loss.
  Verify end-to-end connectivity.
  Verify all end port states.}
