Issue/Introduction

From ssh session on the Aria Automation node, the output of the command
vracli service status --ignore-cache   shows:

cgs-service                   Started     Degraded        2/3                    0.06 %  2252 MB
|-->                          |--Running  |--Healthy      fqdn.domain.local  0.06 %  751 MB
|-->                          |--Running  |--Not Healthy  fqdn.domain.local  0.07 %  768 MB
|-->                          |--Running  |--Healthy      fqdn.domain.local  0.04 %  732 MB

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.16.0 and older versions

Cause

The Aria Automation 8.16.0 and older versions have cgs-ui deployed.

Note:  cgs-service-app and cgs-ui-app are Content services that allow users to sync blueprints.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

  1. SSH into the Aria Automation node.
  2. Verify if the cgs-ui service is still present by running the following command:
    vracli service status --ignore-cache
  3. If the service is present, remove the cgs-ui packages using the command:
    rpm -q prelude-cgs-ui && rpm -e prelude-cgs-ui

Additional Information

The cgs-ui is removed from the upgraded environments of Aria Automation versions 8.16.1  or 8.16.2 that do not have the cgs-ui deployed but the cgs-services are not cleaned properly and hence one or more cgs-service(S) will be in “Not-Healthy” state.
