Issue/Introduction

Mixed encryption cluster

If the cluster has Data at Rest Encryption enabled and you have multiple disks-groups with encryption disabled.  The vSAN datastore will only show the capacity of the Disk-groups that have encryption enabled.

Encrypted hosts with locked disks

If you have multiple hosts with locked Disk-groups the vSAN datastore will only show the capacity of the Disk-groups that are not locked.

Resolution

Mixed encryption cluster

The disk-groups on the hosts that do not have Data at Rest Encryption enabled will have to be recreated.  Once the disk-groups have Data at Rest Encryption enabled the vSAN datastore will show the correct space of the vSAN.

Please follow the Recreation Process

Encrypted hosts with locked disks

In order to unlock Disk-groups that have encryption enabled the host will need to have proper communication to the KMS server during boot or disk mount activity's.  If you are having issues mounting the disk-groups please open a case with support team for assistance.
