On VCF 5.0.x, incorrect precheck warnings are generated for vCenter/NSX-T/ESXi version during pre-check compatibility validation test

Issue/Introduction

Upon running the precheck for VCF 5.0 during upgrade readiness or during VCF upgrade path 4.3 --> 5.0 , SDDC Manager precheck fails with compatibility validation.

Pre-check warning on Sddc-manager:-

   "Data for product VCENTER with version 7.0.2-18356314 is not present in VMware Verification Service"

Pre-check warning on ESXi :-

     Product ESX_HOST with version 8.0.1-21495797 is not compatible with product NSX_T_MANAGER with version 3.2.1.2.0.20541212

Pre-check warning on NSXT :-

    Data for product NSX_T_MANAGER with version 4.1.0.2.0-21761691 is not present in VMware Verification Service, Data for product VCENTER with version 7.0.2-18356314 is not present in VMware Verification Service

Pre-check warning on vCenter :-

    Data for product VCENTER with version 8.0.1.00100-21750160 is not present in VMware Verification Service, Data for product VCENTER with version 7.0.2-18356314 is not present in VMware Verification Service

 

Environment

VCF 5.0.x

Cause

Precheck reports compatibility data missing for products ESXi/NSX-T/VC in SDDC 5.0

Resolution

The warnings can be safely ignored and can proceed with the upgrade.

Upgrade to VCF 5.1.x

The compatibility pre-check data bundle has been updated from VCF 5.1.x version onwards.
