1. You are unable to find the VMs in the configure replication list when you are adding a NEW VM to replication
2. The VMs you want to configure replications on are displayed in the vCenter inventory
This could happen for the reasons listed below -
1. An automation script was used to configure replications on those VMs in the past
2. VMs are residing in a DMZ
3. The VM wasn't gracefully removed from replications tab thus loitering under the Incoming or Outgoing tabs
Please try the steps mentioned in the order below and check (Reload the SRM UI browser after performing each step) if you are able to find the VMs in the Configure Replication list -
1. Do you see the VMs you are trying to add in the Incoming or Outgoing tab under Replication ? If you do, remove them by choosing Force Stop. You can decide whether you would like to retain replica disks or not.
2. Power OFF & Power ON the replication appliances (including add-on servers) & follow step 1.
3. Are you able to view any other VMs belonging to this host or cluster in question ? If you don't, this is likely because this host/cluster is part of DMZ
4. vMotion the VM to another host/cluster
5. Remove the VM from vCenter inventory and register it back (When you do this, vCenter will assign a new UUID to the VM)
