Unable to open multiple parallel console sessions to virtual machines from VMware Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to open multiple sessions (VMRC or Web console) to different machines, the subsequent session will get stuck at "connecting" after 5 or 6 active sessions. However, once an existing active session is closed, the session that was stuck in "connecting" state successfully connects.

• The issue is observed across different users, tenants, and end-user machines.
• The issue will not occur if the load balancer is removed and all connections are directed to a single cell.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

This issue can be seen if the acceleration is disabled in NSX

Resolution

To resolve the issue, enable acceleration in NSX load balancer. 

Steps to enable acceleration in NSX:

1. Navigate to Load Balancer → Virtual Servers.
2. Click on the green + sign.
3. Ensure the Enable Acceleration check box is selected.
