vCenter Server vSphere UI "About" dialog shows version mismatch

Issue/Introduction

vCenter Server vSphere UI "About" dialog shows version mismatch compared to SSH banner, DCUI, VC summary and VAMI UI.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.x

VMware vCenter Server 8.0 GA

VMware vCenter Server 8.0 U1

VMware vCenter Server 8.0.U2

 

Resolution

The version showed in "About" box from vSphere Client is the version of the client itself and not the VC version. To check the correct versions check VAMI UI and VC perspective the Summary page.

This issue is fixed in VMware vCenter Server version 8.0 Update2a.
