SYSVIEW for DB2 works with IBM Instrumentation Facility records called IFCID which stands for instrumentation facility component ID (IFCID).
SYSVIEW for Db2 , in addition to IBM IFCID records, generates its own records. The (1047) IDB2STAT record is one such record.
Release : R20
DB2 for Z/OS
The IFCID 1047 (IDB2STAT ) record is used by the BTRHWMSM and BTRHWMTR SYSVIEW for Db2 batch report facility programs.
These metrics are collected in the internal record IFCID 1047.
The collection of the record must be enabled within SYSVIEW for DB2.
See the subsections below the IDB2STAT page for more information.
"An IDB2STAT record is produced only if the high water mark (HWM) collection subtask is active. The subtask is controlled by the HWM-SAMP-INT system tracing parameter that defines the HWM sampling frequency. The values are captured within the system history interval and are reset at its boundary."
See Tracing Parameters for this parameter.
It was introduced in R19 release : PTF RO86064
The sysparm controls how often the HWM task samples the data, and therefore the user can directly control the overhead.
Any IFCID number found in SYSVIEW for DB2 Records and Fields that is greater than 1000 is a Sysview for Db2 generated IFCID.
