Issue/Introduction
Attempting to upgrade VMware Aria Automation from version 8.12.2 to 8.16.2 in a clustered environment via VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle (LCM) results in failure during Stage-2 with the following error: LCMVRAVACONFIG90030
The upgrade process stops at the "vRealize Automation upgrade status check" stage, and the environment remains in a failed state
Detailed Error Logs:
From LCM UI:

From /var/log/vmware/prelude/upgrade-2024-07-05-05-41-54.log:
[INFO][2024-07-05 05:58:27][xxxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.com] VAMI upgrade completed with error. [ERROR][2024-07-05 05:58:27][xxxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.com] VAMI overall upgrade has failed. ... The upgrade failure is attributed to an unsupported package installed on the VMware Aria Automation appliance: net-snmp-5.8-11.ph3.x86_64
The VAMI (vCenter Server Appliance Management Interface) update fails during RPM installation tests due to missing dependencies for the net-snmp package
Resolution
Remove Unsupported Package:
Uninstall the net-snmp-5.8-11.ph3.x86_64 package and any other manually installed additional RPMs that may cause conflicts
Additional Information
This issue highlights the importance of avoiding unauthorized package installations on Aria Automation appliances
Consider maintaining a clean system with only officially supported packages to ensure smooth upgrades and avoid compatibility issues
