VMware Cloud Foundation - Password remediation fails for VMware Aria Ops

Issue/Introduction

• In SDDC manager,  VMware Aria Ops admin account status shows disconnected.
• Attempting to remediate the password of the admin account fails repeatedly.
• /var/log/vmware/vcf/operationsmanager/operationsmanager.log will indicate the below warning:

Environment

VCF with VMware Aria Ops and vRLI.

Cause

The vRLI integration was removed directly from the  VMware Aria Ops, however the SDDC manager still has reference to the vRLI. In such scenarios, the password change attempt will attempt to communicate to vRLI to update the  VMware Aria Ops adapter but fails due to the removed integration.

Resolution

• Reintegrate the vRLI in  VMware Aria Ops
  Configuring vRealize Log Insight with VMware Aria Operations
• Attempt to remediate the password from SDDC Manager
  Remediate Passwords
