  • These are IDS Signatures used by the versions before NSX T 3.1.2

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.0.x
VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.1.0 and 3.1.1

Cause

Prior to VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.1.2, VMware was using different vendor signatures for IDPS.
Starting in VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.1.2, VMware is using a different vendor and these signatures are no longer required.

Resolution

  • Make sure you have up-to-date backups.
  • Login to each NSX manager and remove the files under /home/secureall/secureall/policy/trustwave-repo/.

Sample commands

login as root to the NSX manager
cd  /home/secureall/secureall/policy/trustwave-repo/
pwd
<- Make sure you are in the correct directory above
rm -rf *

  • Remove the signature files from all three managers.
