During Cloud Director upgrade process 'vamicli update --check' command keeps running indefinitely

Issue/Introduction

At Step 7, during VMware Cloud Director(VCD) upgrade process, 'vamicli update --check' command is not able to find the extracted package and keeps on running indefinitely without an error.

In the /opt/vmware/var/log/vami/vami.log, you could see that the process is stuck at downloading Manifest -

Environment

VMware Cloud Director

Cause

This issue could be caused by a faulty VCD Cell which has issues extracting the update package.
The extracted package directory on the concerned cell shows 201 201 owner on it.

Resolution

Workaround-
1) Remove the concerned cell and then proceed with the upgrade. Redeploy the cell after upgrade.
OR
2) Redeploy the cell and then proceed with upgrade.
