Issue/Introduction

Once SEPM try to connect to SQL database it results in error:

Caused by: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'CONNECTION_TEST', database 'sem5', schema 'dbo'.

Environment

SEPM server configured to work with external SQl server database.

Cause

After database backup restoration some on SQL some user rights are overwritten, lost or changed.

Resolution

Check the user that SEPM use to log in to database Properties -> Owned Schemas:

There should be no deny rights assigned.
