Error: "#### is participating in VDC Groups [###]. Remove the VDC from the VDC Group(s) and try again" when trying to remove an Org VDC and Organization from Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to remove an Org VDC and Organization from Cloud Director.
• Delete failed with the following error message:

[ ### ] #### is participating in VDC Groups [###]. Remove the VDC from the VDC Group(s) and try again.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

VMware Cloud Director 10.5

Cause

The error occurs because the VDC you are trying to delete is participating in one or more VDC Groups. You must remove the VDC from these groups before you can proceed with the deletion.

Resolution

Remove the Organization VDC from the Data Center Group via the Cloud Director UI and retry the deletion of the objects.
