The VMware Cloud Foundation Asset Calculator tool (VCFACT) is intended for use either at the direction of or guidance from your Broadcom Account team. The purpose of this tool is to collect and calculate the capacity and utilization of your VCF entitlements and subscription licenses across your VCF environments.
The current release focuses on collecting the following information from your VCF environment(s):
You may configure the VCFACT to connect to one or multiple vCenters to make it easier to collect a comprehensive set of information across your VCF environment.
VMware vSphere ESXi
VMware vSAN
The VCFACT is a command line-based java application that currently supports JSON file outputs and includes an option to send the output directly to Broadcom’s telemetry services if required (Internet access required).
