Creating an alert in Data Center Security Server (DCS)

Issue/Introduction

You need to create an alert for agents that are in policy error status in the UMC

Environment

DCS 6.9.x

Resolution

1. In the UMC, open Monitor

2. Select alerts

3. click the + to add a new alert

4. Name your alert accordingly (this example is called Agent Status-Policy Error)

5. Select the filters as shown below:  

 

 6. Save the alert (it will be enabled automatically)

7. Once you have an event that meets the filter criteria above, you will see it in notifications

 

 **Please note, if you have an email server set up, you can configure the email notification within the alert as well.
