Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this article is to provide guidance on where to download legacy versions of vRealize Log Insight in order to upgrade to a supported release.

An example use case for this article would be:

Where you want to upgrade from vRealize Log Insight 8.1.1 to Aria Operations for logs 8.6 and later, as per the upgrade path the 8.4 upgrade pak file is required. However the 8.4 version of the package is not available to download in the Broadcom support portal

Environment

VMware vRealize Loginsight 4.x 

VMware vRealize Loginsight 8.1.1

VMware vRealize Loginsight 8.2

VMware vRealize Loginsight 8.4

 

Resolution

Please sign into the Broadcom portal at https://support.broadcom.com/ > Click on My Downloads

Select Aria Operations for Logs > Click on Solutions

Click on VMware Aria operations for Logs > Select 8.6.2 > Upgrade Binaries to 8.1.1, 8.2.0 and 8.4.1 versions and you should have the option to download the upgrade pak files
