Errors connecting to MySQL 8.0

Issue/Introduction

We are getting some errors, while trying to monitor MySQL/PXC 8.0 databases (version: 8.0.32) through APMIA.

 

 

 

Cause

MySQL version 8.x and above has caching_sha2_password plugin as default which requires allowing PublicKeyRetrieval. This was not supported in the Agent.

Resolution

This will be in APM 24.8.1 and later releases.
