NSX Edge nodes Configuration State is Pending after successful edge failover

Issue/Introduction

 

• Configuration State shows as 'Pending' instead of 'Success'.
• Node Status is UP in NSX Manager.
• All Edge nodes appear green with no visible errors on the NSX UI.
• All tunnels remain up after an Edge failover.
• Edge failover messages appear in /var/log/syslog, including:
  • 'Edge node status changed'
  • 'Service router switches'
• Edge nodes are reachable from NSX Managers.
• During failover temporary traffic impact observed. After failover, no impact seen.

 

Environment

Cause

NSX manager services were not properly updating the UI after the Edge HA events. This can lead to stale UI entries.

Resolution

• Restart the manager services using the command:

         restart service manager

• There is no impact to datapath traffic due to the above.
