Issue/Introduction

Customer noticed that CSB can't handle bulk provisioning of DB instances.

When quickly provisioning new DBs (using some automation) CSB sometimes crashes (fails to provision DBs).

Resolution

As of CSB for AWS v1.8.1 the amount of memory allocated to the CSB app can be configured during installation of the tile in the “Service Broker Config” tab. Our recommendation would be that:

1. The memory usage of the CSB app should be monitored, and

2. If the memory usage should approach 100%, then the memory allocation should be increased

The memory usage of CSB is sensitive to usage and can vary significantly depending on the usage. For this reason, monitoring of the memory used - especially around times of peak usage - can be helpful in determining the memory required.
