Issue/Introduction

Some users cannot access panel option 2 Data Administration. 
How may this be fixed to be available?

Environment

Telon MVS 5.1  and Telon PWS 5.1

Cause

It's necessary to customize function access (function restriction) in Telon 5.1

Resolution

To customize function access (function restriction) in Telon Application Generator, follow these steps:

 

Open Telon Design Facility (TDF): Launch the TDF and specify the TDF Database and TDF Help Database you want to use. Click OK to continue.

Access the TDF Installation Menu: From the TDF Main Menu, type Install at the Command prompt and press Enter. This menu allows you to customize access rights by user type.

Update Access to TDF Functions:

In the Function field, enter UP.

Provide the password for the TDF database you are accessing (default is CSIMK).

In the Restrict field, enter the code (A, C, or P) for the user type you want to update.
