This abend is caused when an LMP KEY check is performed and fails.

In this particular situation the Common Services storage area where the keys are stored has been

overlaid by an IBM VSAM internal storage abend.

You may not see this abend since it is internal but you might experience a S0C4 as well.

 

Resolution:

IBM opened apar OA46383

An abend 0C4 or an overlay of the PSA may occur during close processing for VSAM datasets.
