Issue/Introduction

After a network interruption, VMware Identity Manager logins fail with the error message "too many redirects."

Certificate Error: The following certificate error is observed:

openssl s_client -connect vip:443

unable to verify first certificate

 

The below error might be observed in the connector.log :

Environment

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7

Cause

The issue is caused by a network interruption.

Resolution

 

• On each IDM node, navigate to https://FQDN:8443/cfg/setup.
• Go to the Certificates section.
• Add the intermediate and root certificates individually in the Trusted CA tab.
