Spectrum is SNMP polling VNA SDN virtual interface models

Issue/Introduction

We have noticed an excessive amount of SNMP polling to VNA SDN interface models.  Why is Spectrum SNMP polling these?

Cause

The SDN tunnel interfaces are derived from Gen_If_Port and had polling enabled.

Resolution

A code fix has been provided in NetOps release 23.3.12 and above.

 

A workaround for versions below 23.3.12 is to create a ModelType Name Search that includes SDN_

Select all models, right click and choose Attribute Editor

Next to the "User Defined" select Add

Filter for "PollingStatus" and click ok, then move it to the right hand side.

Select No and click Apply
