Issue/Introduction

The ACF2 IMS interface SOURCE being displayed and used for the resume tpipe resource validation does not always appear correct.

Reloading the rules, resetting the cache, changing the rules, restarting IMS and even cold starting IMS does not appear to change the SOURCE.

How can the correct SOURCE be displayed? The SOURCE should be the port number.

Resolution

To correct the problem, specify a number other than zero for the TIMEOUT setting on the ACF2 OTMA Network Record.

If TIMEOUT is not specified for a NETWORK record, the default is 0 (zero). If the timeout value for a link is zero, user control blocks are not timed out. If the user control blocks exist in the link logonid cache, they are used.

Additional Information

For more information, see OTMA Security in the ACF2 documentation.
