Issue/Introduction

  • Canceling the upgrade or patch plan on a domain that shares an NSX with other domains does not cancel the upgrade or patch plans for those other shared domains.
    Example:

Domains:
WLD-1
WLD-2
WLD-3

NSX Sharing:
    * WLD-1 and WLD-2 share an NSX with WLD-3.

Scenario:
1. The user plans an upgrade on WLD-1.
2. VCF internally creates a patch plan to upgrade the NSX on WLD-2 and WLD-3.
3. The user attempts to cancel the upgrade plan on WLD-1.
Outcome:
VCF will delete the plan on WLD-1.
The patch plan for WLD-2 and WLD-3 will remain intact.

Environment

VCF 5.2

Cause

The support for canceling the upgrade plan on all associated domains was not in the scope of 5.2.

Resolution

This will be included in a future release.

To workaround the issue, please do either of the following.
1. Cancel the upgrade plan on each associated domain one by one.
2. Re-plan the upgrade on the canceled domain.
