U4038 abend in OFAPROC after Applying Ptf LU13930

DATABASE MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS FOR DB2 FOR Z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Running the Database Management Solutions for DB2 FAPROC OFS Agent started task job after applying PTF LU13930, it abends with a U4038.

Environment

z/os DB2

Cause

Insufficient storage allocated in the environment. 

Resolution

To get pass the error change the STACK default value for applications and provide it to CEEOPTS. Follow the steps below : 

  1. Template the XX.XX.CDBAPARM(OFACEE)  and allocate a new member
  2.  Append the line STACK(131072,131072,ANYWHERE,KEEP,524288,131072)
  3.  Provide the new member to the OFAPROC job JCL line 9  "CEEOPTS  DD  DISP=SHR,DSN=CA.DBTOOLS.T200.CDBAPARM(OFACEE) "
  4.  Restart the OFAPROC Started task.
