Endevor

Issue/Introduction

Pressing PF1 has the following additional information :

IJK56231I  TEXT UNIT X'0010'  CONTAINS INVALID PARAMETER

This is only happening with new Endevor users.  Old user that used Endevor before, don't have any problems.

Environment

All supported versions of Endevor

Cause

A possible cause is an invalid value specified in the C1DEFLTS for WORKVOL -

WORKVOL=,                VOL SER NUMBER FOR WRKUNIT

New Endevor user will have the C1DEFLTS WORKVOL value used for the initial value of the Volume Serial option in the Endevor User Defaults.

For old Endevor users, the Volume Serial option is stored in their CTLIPROF ISPF profile record and that value is used after the initial time.

Resolution

Compare the User Defaults  VOLUME SERIAL value of the new user with that of the working Endevor user in -

0 DEFAULTS in the classic Endevor ISPF interface
or
D Dialog Defaults  in Quick Edit

If the Volume Serial is set to SYSDA or 3390 or something else, have the user blank out or set it to the same value as the working Endevor user.  Press Enter to save the new value.
Log off Endevor and TSO/ISPF.
Log back on to Endevor and retest the Build Package action.
