0C7 abend selecting RC/Query for remote location

Issue/Introduction

An S0C7 abend occurs when selecting option 1 for RC/Query on the Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS Main Menu. The problem only occurs when a remote location is specified in the LOCATION field.

IRX0250E System abend code 0C7, reason code 00000000.
IRX0255E Abend in host command SELECT or address environment routine ISPEXEC.

This may be an ISPF abend in module PTLBDBC or

an abend in RQLMAIN followed by an ISPF abend in ISPMAIN.

Resolution

Check that the remote Db2 subsystem is correctly defined in the SETUPxx CDBAPARM Parmlib member.

The S0C7 abend can occur when a remote V12 subsystem is incorrectly defined as a V11 subsystem.

For example:

SSID     (ssid)               
SSIDDESC (subsystem description)
SSIDVER  (V11)                
SSIDMODE (NFM)
