Recategorizing the Execute Explore and Correlate Task in Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

In some Identity Manager configurations, the "Execute Explore and Correlate" task may default to the "Certification" category instead of the "Endpoints" category. This article provides instructions to update the administrative task profile to the correct category.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.5

Cause

The task category is defined within the Administrative Task profile. If the profile was created or modified with an incorrect category assignment, the task will appear under that category in the console.

Resolution

1. Log in to the Identity Manager User Console as an administrator.
2. Navigate to Admin Tasks > Modify Admin Task.
3. Search for and select the Execute Explore and Correlate task.
4. Expand the Profile tab within the task configuration.
5. Locate the Category field.
   
   
   
6. Change the value from "Certification" to Endpoints.
7. Submit the change to save the profile. The task will now display under the "Endpoints" category in the menu.
