Issue/Introduction

- A Virtual Machine running Microsoft operating system may experience a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

- A Virtual Machine running a Linux distribution operation system may experience a Kernel Panic.

Resolution

- For troubleshooting purposes, if a BSOD or Kernel Panic occurs, the Guest OS vendor should be contacted first to start the investigation into why the crash occurred.

- Once the Guest OS Vendor completes their investigation and if VMware by Broadcom are required for further troubleshooting than a case should be opened ensuring to attach the Guest OS vendor's analysis to the case along with the issue highlighted that VMware by Broadcom needs to review further.
